Favorite Scripture Friday: Isaiah 43:18-19

18 “Forget the former things;
    do not dwell on the past.
19  See, I am doing a new thing!
    Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
    and streams in the wasteland.

                         Isaiah 43:18-19

Don't you just love it when God tells us to forget something?  And to not dwell on things that are behind us?  I don't know about you, but I'm easily able to take one interaction (or even one sentence to be perfectly honest) and fret and worry over it, all under the guise of "analyzing".  And such diligent analysis can sometimes give me tunnel vision and unable to recognize or even concentrate on other, more important, things.

So if God's telling me to not only forget the past, but that He is doing something new, I'm for it.  And especially when I read on to see that He is making a way in the wilderness and creating streams in the wasteland.

Can you think of a better way to start 2018?

Happy New Year!
